My name is Kathleen (Katie) Lewis, and I'm a high school senior and aspiring writer from Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami, FL.

I began writing for my high school newspaper, The Raider Voice, in ninth grade. There, I discovered my passion for writing and was able to explore a wide variety of stories, from general features to personality profiles to sports coverage, video news packages, and more. In tenth grade, I was the copy editor, and since eleventh grade I have served as the newspaper's Editor-in-Chief and published over 75 pieces. My work has been recognized at both state and national levels, and I'm very enthusiastic about continuing to grow as a writer and pursuing journalism as I take the next steps in my education.

Aside from the newspaper, I play on the soccer and tennis teams at Gulliver and am a member of the IB Programme. I also frequently volunteer at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Thank you so much for visiting my digital portfolio, and I hope you enjoy my work.
